Fireflies

Around this time three years ago, I went to Firefly Farms, the Sundress Academy for the Arts. When I was there, I made a chart where I created the table of contents for my novella, Cenote City. For each section, I wrote about what I wanted to reveal about the characters at that point in time. I've always been turned off by the idea of a plot. Keeping my mind on characters and their desires helps me to make tension organically. But I still like the glow of artifice, and I want to get better at making it.
